2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Plans

2-10 HBW offers systems and appliances warranties for both homeowners and sellers. With three main plans available plus plenty of add-on options, homeowners can choose the coverage that works best for their needs. While plans are available in many states, coverage is not currently available in New Hampshire, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Alaska, or Hawaii.

The following prices reflect a quote for a single-family home in Massachusetts. All of the plans carry an $85 service fee, which is in the lower end of industry service call costs. The plans provide coverage for one year and they are renewable. They cover some of the more expensive repairs that come with buying or selling a home.

Special Features

2-10 HBW covers appliances and systems no matter how old they are. They must be functioning properly when you purchase your home warranty. After you buy a warranty, there’s a 30-day wait period before your coverage will begin. The systems and appliances warranties feature an annual, aggregate limit of $25,000.

2-10 HBW also offers a unique Appliance Replacement Offer program. If you request service for a covered appliance, you can choose to continue with that service appointment or replace the appliance. If you choose to replace the appliance, then a service contractor won’t be sent to your home and you will save the service fee. When you replace the broken appliance with a brand-new one and submit your receipt, 2-10 HBW will reimburse you $100. 2-10 HBW has a partnership with Whirlpool and GE, so you could save up to 65% off of retail prices on their appliances.

If you need to file a claim, you can log into the homeowner portal account to request service. Alternatively, you can call the Customer Service department at 800-775-4736. Most service requests are completed within five days, and you can log into the homeowner portal to view the status of your claim. 2-10 HBW maintains a network of 6,000 independent contractors to ensure that your claim is promptly addressed.

How to Get a Quote from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty

2-10 HBW makes getting a quote easy and fast. Just fill out the basic online quote request form with information like your address and email address. Pricing is straightforward and you can get a slight discount by making a bulk payment for the year instead of choosing monthly payments.

Is 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty for You?

According to 2-10 HBW, the company pays 97.5% of claims, and they’ve covered over six million homes. The company’s offer of structural warranties is unique, as it serves homeowners and home builders. If you’re looking for a well-established company and a variety of warranty plans and add-ons, 2-10 HBW could be the right fit for your needs.

The warranty plans aren’t the most affordable, but the coverage is comprehensive, especially when you choose the combined warranty plan. The $85 service fee is reasonable and less than the fees of some other home warranty providers.

The Appliance Replacement Offer provides a distinct advantage over other home warranty providers. Rather than committing to having an older appliance repaired, choosing to upgrade that appliance might be the best decision and could earn you a rebate. This program offers more flexibility than standard home warranties, giving you the control to decide what is best for your situation. There are many reasons to consider 2-10 HBW, but do make sure that home warranties are available in your state.
