With Cinch Home Services (formerly TotalProtect Home Warranty), deciding what type of coverage you want for your home is simple. Cinch offers clear, detailed plans that cover your appliances, your home systems, or both. With a variety of valuable add-ons and optional coverage, you’ll have the ability to purchase the specific type of home warranty that you need and want.
Cinch Home Services Warranty Plans
Cinch’s warranty plans are simple to understand and they break your home down into different systems. If you’re concerned about the appliances in your home, you can choose the Appliances Plan, which offers comprehensive coverage for your major appliances.
The Systems Plan focuses on the systems that power your home, like your electrical and plumbing systems. Or, opt for the Combo Plan, which covers both your appliances and your home’s systems.
No matter which plan you choose, you’ll enjoy unknown pre-existing condition coverage, which will cover unknown pre-existing mechanical failures. These plans all include rust and corrosion coverage of mechanical parts that fail.
Unless your contract specifies, these plans do not have a yearly limit or annual aggregate cap on the expense of repairing or replacing items covered under your warranty. However, certain items may be subject to certain dollar amount limits.
Cinch Home is currently offering a free first month of service when you choose monthly billing on a new plan. (This offer isn’t available in all states.) The following prices reflect quotes for the state of Florida.
Appliances Plan (Starting at $31.95 per month)
The Appliances Plan includes coverage for most of the major appliances in your home. This plan excludes coverage for systems like electrical and plumbing, but you can choose the Systems Plan or the Combo Plan for more comprehensive coverage.
The Appliances Plan includes coverage for:
- Refrigerator with built-in ice and water dispenser
- Wall oven
- Range exhaust hood
- Built-in microwave
- Built-in trash compactor
- Built-in dishwasher
- Clothes washer
- Clothes dryer
Systems Plan (Starting at $29.95 per month)
The Systems Plan focuses on the many systems at work in your home, like plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling. It excludes the appliances covered under the appliances plan.
The Systems Plan includes coverage for:
- Garbage disposal
- Air conditioning – 2 units
- Heating system – 2 units
- Water heater
- Plumbing lines
- Plumbing stoppages
- Sump pump
- Whirlpool bath
- Attic/whole house exhaust fan
- Central vacuum
- Door bells and chimes
- Garage door opener
- Smoke detectors
- Main breaker/fuse panel box
- Interior electrical lines
- Interior gas line
Combo Plan (Starting at $43.95 per month)
If you want complete and comprehensive coverage, the Combo Plan is probably the right option for you. This plan combines everything covered under the Appliances Plan and the Systems Plan. All of your major appliances plus the systems that power your home will be covered.
Cinch Review offers fewer individual add-on options than other companies, but its unique add-on plans offer coverage that you won’t necessarily find with other home warranty providers. Cinch’s Surge Protection Plan starts at just $3.95 per month and has no deductible.
If lightning or a power surge damages your appliances, you can get your appliances fixed or replaced, send in a receipt for $100 or more, and get reimbursed up to the limit of the plan that you’ve chosen.
The Home Helper program provides a suite of additional coverage and protection for your home:
- Surge protection coverage up to $500 per year
- Electrical protection coverage up to $1,000 per year
- $250 to use toward restaurants, movie tickets, and online purchases
- $25 credit for an air conditioner or fridge filter
- 24/7 access to a network of 18,000 pre-screened service technicians
- Discounts on name brand appliances
- Maintenance tips to keep your home running smoothly
You can also choose to add on coverage for a pool or a spa. You can only add on this coverage within 30 days of enrolling in a warranty plan.
When you view your available plans and pricing, you’ll have your choice of three different deductible levels: $100, $125, and $150. These deductibles reflect how much you would pay for a repair covered under your warranty.
By choosing a higher deductible, you’ll enjoy a lower monthly payment. The reverse is also true; a lower deductible plan will carry a higher monthly payment. This option gives you the ability to decide just which payment option you’re most comfortable with.
Cinch doesn’t require any inspections prior to signing up for your coverage. The company maintains a database of 40,000 pre-screened service technicians to ensure that you receive prompt and quality service. All work is backed by a 180-day workmanship guarantee.
